White Stone White Shepherd Puppies

We understand that each family is looking for something special be it, show, herding, search and rescue, Schutzhund/protection training, obedience, agility, or therapy dog prospect. Or a beautiful family companion. We plan our litters in advance with goals in mind for each litter. Once we know what your looking for we can give you information on what litter best fits your needs. Our dogs are all from proven top winning/working dogs in different fields, such as American Conformation Champions and Schutzhund titled V rated German Imports.

Our puppies are born indoors, in our home.

We have a climate controlled room just for our puppies and pregnant mothers. The room is disinfected to insure a clean environment for our babies.

Pricing:

Always email me for pricing on a specific puppy, these are just examples.

-Companion puppies are generally $1000-$1200. Companion puppies meaning puppies are not to be used for breeding or sport (such as Conformation or Schutzhund). They come with limited AKC registration.

-Show/Sport Prospects are generally $1200-$1500. Show/Sport prospect means this dog is available as a show/breeding/sport prospect and does come with full AKC registration and breeding rights.

Sometimes we will have a puppy that is available for less, but for the most part our puppies are in this price range.

We also have adults occasionally available. They are priced based on their pedigree, training, titles etc.

Shipping:

We do ship our puppies. We use Delta or Continental Airlines for nearly all our puppies flights. Delta has direct flights to most cities. The puppies fly in a airline approved crate. Shipping is extra, and is around $350 to most places which includes the crate, health certificate and the flight. Older puppies are bigger and do require a bigger crate, and then the crate and shipping is more. If you are interested in a puppy and want to know how much shipping would be just send us an email and we can get a quote for you. We ask you what day works best for your puppies arrival and we take care of everything else on our end.

Deposit:

We ask for a $100 non refundable deposit to hold our puppies. The deposit can be in the form of a check, cashiers check, money order, or cash. The deposit goes towards your total price. If you change your mind the deposit is not refundable. However we do transfer deposits to a future litter. Once we receive a deposit on a specific litter or puppy we consider that puppy sold.

Some common questions:

Payment Questions:

Id like to pay for half my puppy now, and half when I pick my puppy up, can I do that? Yes, we take payment in various ways, just as long as the puppy is paid in full before he/she leaves our home.

What forms of payment do you take? For deposits we accept check, cashiers check, money order, cash. For your final payment we do not take personal checks. Your final payment must be in the form of cashiers check, money order or cash.

General German Shepherd Questions and our kennel specific questions:

What kind of dog food do you feed? All of our dogs and puppies are fed the bones and raw foods diet, which is the best diet for dogs. Our puppies get the best start in life. It has been proven that dogs on the bones and raw foods diet have less health problems, better skin, coats, and clean healthy teeth and gums, etc. With the constant dog food recalls, chemicals in dog food and "unknown" ingredients, you will have a peace of mind knowing your puppy was raised on fresh real meat, not chemicals and over cooked unknown ingredients in a bag.

I want a show quality puppy, but just for a pet, do you sell show quality pups to pet homes? Yes, we understand that not all of our show prospects will be shown, and we do let some of our best show prospects go to families with no intentions of showing

Do you offer microchipping? Yes, we do. We offer microchipping for $40. That includes lifetime registration with AKC CAR.

What color of puppies do you have? We of course have White Shepherds, as well as colored dogs, if your looking for a colored puppy let us know.

Can we come out and see the puppies when they are born? The puppies can be viewed once they've had two sets of puppy booster shots. Before then they can pick up germs can get sick. Their immune systems are not strong enough to handle everyday germs you and I can handle. They are whelped in our home in a disinfected room that we only allow the mother dog, and our selves in, to insure healthy puppies.

Years ago we let people come meet the little newborns at a couple weeks old and one of our litters picked up a cold from a family who came over.  The puppies all got sick, and had to be taken to the vet and put on medication.  Since we have not allowed visitors until the puppies have had 2 sets of booster shots. Its just not worth it to risk the heath of the puppies.

Recently a breeder that we know lost 19 puppies and dogs to Parvo from letting people she didn't know come visit her kennel. Parvo virus often ends in a horribly painful death and it was a horrendous thing for her dogs and her to go through. We are very serious about keeping our puppies healthy and do not allow outside germs around our puppies, nursing dams or pregnant dogs.

So instead we take pictures about every week of the puppies and send them to everyone holding a puppy.

Is a male or a female better? German Shepherds are very loyal dogs. Both males and females make good companions. Not all males are the same, and not all females are the same, so I can't say all females are one way, or all males are another. Typically males are about 20lbs bigger (not always). Typically females glue to one person and thats their person (not always). We have females that want to be with both of us and can't decide who to run to first. And we have females that never leave my side, or my husbands side.

Do you have German Shepherds that are bigger than 100lbs? I want a huge dog. German Shepherds are not bred to be Saint Bernard sized dogs. These are athletic, agile, herding dogs that should be able to float over the ground effortlessly as they herd their flock. Can you imagine a Saint Bernard floating about his flock effortlessly? Or even being able to herd for hours on end? If you are searching for a big beast, then Id suggest a different breed. German Shepherds should not be bred to be over 100lbs. Their structure and conformation is not that of a 150lbs dog. Now, folks will tell us their dog was 120 lbs, and almost every time that dog was that way because he was over weight. You should be able to see a outline of the last rib on your dog. I rarely see a family pet in proper weight.

Also watch out for breeders who boast about their dogs because they are over 100lbs. When you breed for one thing, like size, and size alone you loose health conformation and so forth. Why? Because if your main concern is a huge dog, then you throw away better, healthier dogs more better suited for breeding only because they are not 120lbs. Thus you loose by bringing in a less healthy line. And the folks that breed dogs to obtain sch titles, conformation titles, agility titles and so forth, will not have 120lbs dogs. So you know if the breeder is boasting about her 120 lbs dogs, then they aren't proven to have good conformation (by having Championships) good working ability and solid nerves (by having sch titles) and so forth.

Do you suggest a long coat, or a short coat? A German Shepherds correct coat, is a short coat. However longcoats make wonderful companions, the only difference is the hair is longer, by a inch or two. If you want a dog to romp around on the farm, longcoats can be harder to get the mud, and burs out. Neither sheds more hair, the longcoats shed longer hair thus looking like they shed more hair.

Do German Shepherds shed? German Shepherds shed a lot. Twice a year they blow their coats and at that time the shed the most.

We are getting a puppy with a hernia, should we be concerned? German Shepherds (and many other breeds) can have two kinds of hernias. An Inguinal hernia, and an Umbilical hernia. Most of the hernias we've seen have been small umbilical hernias and are gone by the time the puppy is 6 months old. I have yet to see one of these cause any problems for the dog. Some people like having it repaired by a vet when the animal is spayed/neutered.

We are getting a puppy that is a pet, not a show dog, because he only has one testicle. Is that a big deal? If the testicles are not down as a puppy, that doesn't mean they wont come down. They should be down by 6-9 months of age. If they are not the dog needs to be neutered. German Shepherds (and many other breeds) can have one of two kinds of retained testicles. Chryptorchid or Monorchid. Either of which the animal needs to be neutered, and not used for breeding.

We check our puppies, and our vet also checks our puppies to make sure they have both testicles. If you are getting a show prospect, they have to have two testicles to be able to show.

Once you reserve a puppy, we will provide you with much more information. And along with your puppy will be a packet full of training tips and advice.
